How To Draw Hair Ideas

Updated: Oct 22, 2021

How to draw hair is easier than you think. You can use diagrams to help you learn how to draw your own hair or the hair of someone else. It is also easier than you think.

How to Draw Hair Easy: Your first step in how to draw hair easy should be learning about texture. Texture makes the hair more real and makes it look more natural. There are many different kinds of textures, from completely smooth to extremely rough. Most importantly, remember that all hairs are made up of protein, so pay attention to that when learning how to draw hair.

How to Draw Hairstyles: One of the most important parts of learning how to draw hair is learning how to draw hairstyles. A simple tutorial will help you get started, but there are many different kinds of hairstyles, to begin with. Try drawing some as examples, and compare them to the ones you see in a photo, in order to see how they look. Also, remember that you can add many different elements to a drawing, like shading, lighting, and depth.

How to Draw Hairstyles With Circles: Another one of the most important tips in learning how to draw hair is learning how to draw circles. Circles are used to help guide the eye, and also to give hair its basic shape. Simply start with a very light circle, and put various elements inside of it. For instance, you could draw a large circle with a bunch of small dark shapes inside of it. Now, put a curl or a tail of hair inside of the dark shape.

Curly Hair: Learning how to draw hair is actually fairly easy, once you learn how to draw hair by following the curvy path. To do this, simply start with a straight line to draw the outline of the face. Then, start using thinner straight lines to follow the curve of the face, going right over the line you just drew, and continue on for as long as the line goes on your paper. Once you're done, use kinks and hair strands to go from straight to curly. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Different Hairstyles: Of course, each person has their own unique style, and some people have different hair textures as well. Some people have short, spiky hair, while others have long, fine hair. The same goes for hair colors as well. Some people have black hair, while others have red hair. There are all kinds of different textures that individual strands can be made out of, and it's usually a lot easier to create these shapes as opposed to curly or wavy shapes. So, once you know how to draw hair, you can create just about any style you want.

Lines: One thing that makes drawing people a bit more difficult than it should be is when trying to draw hair by following the basic geometric shapes. First off, when you're trying to follow the basic triangle pattern, always draw the line at one of the three angles they represent, and not from where the angle starts to the left or to the right of the line. This will ensure you don't get any extra stray lines showing up after you've finished. Once you've drawn the triangle, simply trace around the entire tip so that you have a nice even flow on top of the head. Now, when it comes to drawing the lighter and darker values, remember that the lighter value needs to start inside of the darker shape and that the darker value needs to start outside of the lighter shape.

For example, if you had an oval shape, draw a line from the base of the oval to where the middle of the oval meets the top of the head. Then, you would draw a line going from the base of that line to where the tip of the hair would end. This is an easy way to create the proper texture for any type of hair.
